The alloy gives austenitic stainless steel grades 316 and 317 competition with regards to their cost. Since the yield strength of the alloy is 2 times higher than either grade, the walls of the a790 uns s31803 pipe could be made thinner. This results in not only a lighter weighing s31803 welded pipe, but the cost is also reduced.
