An integral part of Flue gas desulfurization, the DIN 2.4819 tube is essentially used to eliminate sulfur dioxide from exhaust flue gases of fossil-fuel power plants as well as from the emissions of other sulfur oxide emitting operations, for instance, waste incineration.

Air pollution control in various industries including power generation is pivotal due to the stringent air quality control laws and regulations set by regulatory bodies. These industries pass of many toxic, corrosive compounds through their equipment. Typically a high concentration of chlorides is found in the gases that have been emitted from these Flue gas desulfurization plants. In which conditions alloy c276 seamless tubes should be used in heat exchangers?

The c276 is a molybdenum nickel chromium alloy that has very high mechanical properties. The alloy is used to produce tubes, bars, rods and sheets of different types for different applications. Most of the applications where these alloy tubes are used are high heat applications like heat exchangers. For high temperature services in the range of 870 – 1230 degrees Celsius, the alloy should be hot worked and water quenched. This conditioning provides the alloy with maximum corrosion resistance at high temperatures. After hot working and heat treatment, the alloy can express very high pressure capacities up to 96 bars for class 2500 at 675 degrees Celsius.
