Hex bolts are available in various materials. There are several benefits of using a hex bolt. Firstly, the production of an M3 Hex Bolt is relatively easy and their cost makes them a very economical type of fasteners. Because the head of these fasteners is large and is six sided, the m3 hex bolt dimensions are considered to be stable and may be used to either fasten wood to wood, or they may be used to fasten metal to wood.
Another benefit is that the m3 bolt hex head makes it easier to loosen or tighten the fastener. Yet, because they are unusually shaped, the bolting or loosening process of the m3 stainless steel hex bolts requires a specific set of spanners or wrenches to do so. Furthermore, the size of the spanner or wrench must correspond to the m3 hex bolt head size. A tighter or a broader spanner will neither be able to conduct either operation nor would the use of a conventional spanner or wrench work.
Available in various ASTM specifications, the m3 hex head bolts tend to be used as either a heavy duty fastener or they may be used for structural purposes. The use of an m3 x 15mm hex bolt with its corresponding spanner or wrench requires torque to fasten it. Apart from its practical uses, the m3 hex screws may be given finishes or painted to improve its appearance thereby improving the overall aesthetics of the application.
