Titanium alloys offer its users many desirable characteristics. These properties include low density and high resistance to corrosion. The density of ASTM B337 Titanium Gr 2 Seamless Pipe is lower than several high performance alloys, which is why the alloy could be used in applications where that require components that are light in weight. The corrosion resistance properties of WERKSTOFF NR. 3.7035 Hexagonal Pipe against chlorine ions makes the material popular for applications that employ chlorine solutions in their processes.

Chlorine containing solutions are highly corrosive, and ordinarily, tend to corrode the most conventional stainless steel alloys by rapidly attacking them. The Titanium Grade 2 Seamless Pipe is also resistant to seawater, brine, and aqua regia.  In applications that require low electrical and thermal conductivity, the Titanium Alloy Gr 2 Hollow Pipe, which is amongst the four commercially pure grades is perfectly acceptable. Though the ultimate tensile strength value of a UNS R50400 EFW Pipe matches that of a low grade alloy steel, the density for the former is lower than the other.

In comparison to aluminum, the Titanium Gr.2 ERW Pipe is about 60% denser. However, the strength of grade 2 titanium is almost two times that of aluminum. Commercially pure Grade 2 Titanium Pipe can exhibit exceptional resistance to corrosion in highly oxidizing as well as mildly reducing service. Although the strength of Cp Gr 2 Welded Pipe is lower in comparison to commercially pure Titanium Grade 3, it is stronger than commercially pure Titanium Grade 1.
