One of the most popular alloys amongst all titanium is grade 5. Since it is very versatile and used across several industries, the Titanium Grade 5 Tube is known as the work of the industry. The benefits of using the titanium grade 5 seamless tube are not only included good formability, and low density, but also good corrosion resistance. Like some conventional stainless steel alloys, the WERKSTOFF NR. 3.7165 Bright Annealed Tubing exhibits good resistance to seawater and to brine solutions.
However, in comparison to said conventional stainless steel alloys, ASTM B338 Gr 5 Titanium Heat Exchanger Tube offers the buyer a solution for those applications that specifically demand metals that have a lower weight. Though the strength of these alloys is almost similar to that of very good quality steel, the density of Titanium Gr 5 High Pressure Tube is much lower. This lower density of the metal is what makes it lighter, thus, enabling the material to be used in applications that require lightweight components.
The R56400 Welded Tubing is also resistant to aqua regia as well as in applications that have the presence of chlorine ions in them. With the addition of 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium in its alloy, the Alloy Gr 5 Seamless Tube is considered to be an alpha beta alloy. An advantage of using an alpha beta alloy such as the Grade 5 Titanium Tubing material is that at elevated temperatures, the creep strength of this alloy tends to be much better in comparison to commercially pure titanium grades 1 to 4.

Titanium Grade 5 Tube could be a responsive metal; it'll consume in unadulterated oxygen at 600°C and in nitrogen at around 800°C. Oxygen and nitrogen will also diffuse into Titanium Grade 5 Tube at temperatures over 400°C raising the pliable quality yet embrittling the metal. Degreasing of the filler wire for TIG welding should be done as usual and the cleaned wire took care of with clean cotton gloves; oil and sweat from the fingers can cause neighborhood pollution as well as porosity..
