Titanium is a very versatile and popular metal, albeit very costly. However, today the use of various commercially pure or alloyed Titanium threaded rod can be found the world over for their multiple qualities. A lightweight material, it proves to be quite beneficial in the aerospace industry. The aerospace industry requires lighter metals such as the 8-32 titanium threaded rod to achieve optimum thrust capacity for take-off. Using metals that are heavy could reduce the efficiency of the thrust.
Though titanium and its alloys are lightweight and are less dense than steel, the strength of a 4-40 titanium threaded rod is on a similar level to that of high-strength steel. The material is also very resistant to corrosion, and the grade 5 titanium threaded rod offers resistance to various media including, but not limited to marine water, aqua regia, and chlorine. Because the alloy is very ductile, it is easy to create threaded structures on rods.
In addition to being a highly ductile material, the m10 titanium threaded rod is very durable and often finds use in engineering applications. Another interesting fact about titanium is that its melting point is very high. And because the melting point of the m6 titanium threaded rod is very high, it is an indicator of strong intermolecular forces between atoms. Simply put, it means that despite heating the material, the shape of the m8 titanium threaded rod will not get deformed and will retain its shape for a longer time due to these strong intermolecular forces.
