Hastelloy is a metal that primarily is made up of elements - nickel and molybdenum. Outstanding resistance to pitting, the ASTM B622 Hastelloy Seamless Tubing materials are generally delivered in a solution annealed condition. Often these pipes are descaled. However, in instances where a controlled atmosphere is used, descaling the ASTM B622 Hastelloy High Pressure Tube is not mandatory. As with other specifications for various alloys, this one too requires conformance to the mechanical properties. This particular specification also calls for the determination of the mass of all Hastelloy Instrumentation Tubes.
